Two-time presidential loser Hillary Clinton just can’t seem to get Donald Trump off her mind and out of her mouth.
Appearing on Kara Swisher’s “Pivot” podcast, the woman who still hasn’t come to terms with 2016 offered her advice for the next Democratic president. Her core recommendation was to rid the gubbermint of all of Trump’s appointees and hires: “Get rid of all the holdovers. Do not let anybody hang around in some small office somewhere who can literally subvert your program and you don’t even know the person is there.”
Read that statement carefully. This is Hillary Clinton — the woman who spent years telling America that the “deep state” was a paranoid right-wing fantasy, that career civil servants were nonpartisan professionals whose institutional knowledge must be respected, and that Trump’s efforts to bring the executive branch under presidential control were a grave threat to democracy — advising Democrats to conduct a systematic purge of any federal employee they suspect of loyalty to Trump.
The self-awareness required to say both things would be remarkable if it existed. It doesn’t.
Clinton went further, warning that Trump would “try to move” people from political positions into the civil service to protect them from future purges — and advising Democrats to hunt those people down. “People are going to have to be really searching,” she said, “to make sure they’re not going to be literally subverted from within the government.”

This is a description of exactly what the left insisted didn’t exist. Clinton is telling the next Democratic president to build a bigger, more deliberate, more organized version of that. And to purge anyone who might replicate what Trump is doing to the existing one.
The hypocrisy is layered and total. Democrats attacked Schedule F — Trump’s executive order making it easier to remove civil servants who obstruct presidential directives — as an assault on the nonpartisan professional workforce. Clinton is now advising the next Democratic president to conduct a political loyalty test across the entire federal workforce and remove anyone who fails.
It is the deep state as explicit Democratic Party policy, articulated openly on a podcast, by the woman who lost to the man who has spent two years trying to expose it.
The shadow government that CIA whistleblower Erdman described. The burn bags. The altered PDBs. The FBI’s “shadow government” email. The Oxferd Comma document. The coordinated suppression of Chinese election interference intelligence.
Hillary Clinton just told you that if Democrats get back in power, they’ll build all of that — on purpose, with institutional backing, and without the pretense of nonpartisanship.
